Description
This is a beautiful circa 1967 Bulova Accutron 214 Spaceview wristwatch. Bulova launched their Accutron line in 1960, showcasing their revolutionary take on design with a non-existent face, exposed circuitry and luminous white hands. The original 14 karat gold cased models were made only to be examples of the new "Spaceview" technology, but the public clamored for them and they became a sought-after watch in their own right. The solid gold model became available in a stainless steel case a few years later to bring down the price point and allow Bulova to satisfy the intense demand.
