ARTIFACT:

This is a Beautiful 2015 Santa Fe Railway District Special Agent Retirement Badge # 55 by Entenmann Rovin.

This beautiful badge was made almost 20 years after the Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railway ceased to exist. But, it was AUTHORIZED by Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway, the successor to the Santa Fe, for Special Agents who had worked under the Santa Fe management, and were retiring under the BN&SFR management, to have a badge to put in their shadowbox. 
 
So, although not a wearing badge, per se, an authorized badge nonetheless, and quite rare as only made to order for a specific Special Agent, with his or her specific badge number.

SIZE:

Approximately: 3-1/4" in height x 2-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with hard-fired blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with drop in locking catch.
