Description
This is a late 1950s Civil Defense Auxiliary Police patrolman breast and hat badge from Erie County, New York by United Uniform Company. Both badges are numbered 3071.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s.
SIZE:Breast badge: approximately 3-1/4" in height and 2-1/8" in width; hat badge: approximately 2-3/4" in height and 2-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enameled and painted details; cork on hat badge post.
ATTACHMENT:Breast badge: vertical pin on bar with drop-in locking swivel catch; hat badge: single screw post with disc backing and stabilization post.
MARKINGS:Breast badge: PAT. PEND. number; hat badge: UNITED UNIFROM CO. BFLO. N.Y.
