ARTIFACT:

This is a worker's badge from the Cooper-Bessemer Corporation. Cooper Bessemer is a gas engine company originally based in Grove City, Pennsylvania. The company was founded in the late 1920's, and thousands of the Cooper-Bessemer engines still operate to this day under General Electric (GE).

Circa 1930's

Approximately 1-5/8" x 1-1/4

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Enameled nickel plated brass

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch

MARKINGS:

Obverse: "THE COOPER-BESSEMER CORP. 50GROVE CITY, PA. Reverse: "A.E UT."

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): This badge has some wear. The enamel is in great condition. There are some scratches on the metal, but it is overall in Very Fine+ condition.
