Beautiful 1930's - 40's Soda Fountain Straw Dispenser in Heavy Glass, Chromed Brass, and Bakelite

Beautiful 1930's ??? 1940's soda fountain straw dispenser. The heavy glass dispenser features a chromed brass lid with a Bakelite knob and steel insert. The underside of the straw holder's cup reads: "BENEDICT" and displays a maker's mark and the number: "40" or perhaps "10", as the bottom is unreadable.

Approximately Canister: 11-1/2" tall with lid; Insert: 11"with lid; Lid: 4"in diameter x 2" in height, Canister only: 3-3/4" in diameter x 9-3/4"

Heavy glass, chrome plated brass, steel, Bakelite.

Lid with Bakelite knob.

"BENEDICT" and maker's mark with letters: "BB" and the number "40" or "10"

8- (Very Fine - Excellent): Straw dispenser shows minor to moderate wear, the chrome plating shows a few blemishes or spots of oxidation, the steel insert shows spots of mild oxidation, and the glass is clear, beautiful, and heavy.
