Beautiful 1880s Old West 6 Point Star Deputy Sheriff Badge by Sachs Lawlor

This is an absolutely wonderful and iconic Deputy Sheriff six-point star badge from the 1880's. The badge has a scroll design at center and profuse curved lines around the words DEPUTY SHERIFF. Although it is not Maker Marked, the font and layout of badge suggest the maker is Sachs Lawlor of Denver Colorado.

2-3/4" in height x 2-5/16" in width.

Hand Stamped Nickel with a nickel plated brass pin, lead soldering, and black painted lettering.

Vertical safety-style pin with open catch.
