ARTIFACT: This is an authorized restrike of a circa early 1950s French Commando Ouragan (Hurricane Commando) Marine Commando beret badge. The badge is by Arthus Bertrand of Paris, and was reissued in the 1970s for veterans of the group. An auxiliary group, the Commando Ouragan served in the south of Indochina from 1951 until November 1954, taking direction from the Mixed Group of Airborne Commandos, or Groupement de Commandos mixtes Aéroportés (GCMA): credit: cdojaubert.canalblog.com.The badge shows a fantastic serpentine dragon entwined around a crossed anchor and sword.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Copper-plated brass, enameled detail.

ATTACHMENT: Two loops, barbell pin.

MARKINGS: ARTHUS BERTRAND PARIS.
