ARTIFACT: This is an Australian-made World War II 2nd Bombardment Squadron, 22nd Bombardment Group, 5th Air Force squadron patch with a red border. The 22nd flew B-26s in the Pacific Theatre. The patch shows the head of a Viking at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 4-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidery thread on wool felt and cotton with a black fabric support.

ATTACHMENT: To be attached to garment.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large collection of WWII to Vietnam vintage squadron patches which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TMAJJX08 LGJJX05/08 SFJJX02/10

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine) This patch is in good condition but shows some mothing as well as some soiling. Asides from the mothing, though, there is relatively little wear on this patch - please refer to our images for a closer look!
