Description
This is a remarkable flight book and document group to one man, Siegfried Brockmeier. Brockmeier trained as a recon pilot for the Luftwaffe and put his skills to use on the Eastern Front. In three months (May-August, 1942) his unit flew 1,000 sorties. By October of that year they had flown 2,000 - most of which were over the Stalingrad front lines. He received the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd class and was awarded the Reconnaissance spange in bronze, silver and gold. Please look at the pictures as there is so much detail, including all the different aircraft Brockmeier flew, ending the war in FW190s.
