8th Battalion Canadian Railway Troops Collar Badge

This is an 8th Battalion Canadian Railway Troops collar badge. The badge is shaped like a maple leaf with a crown near its top and reads A square cut out of the leaf with a velvet background bears a brass square, presumably to echo the shape of a railroad spike head.

Circa World War I.

1-11/16" height and 1-5/8" width.

Lacquered brass with brass details and fitting and velvet inset.

Two loops for attachment.
