ARTIFACT: This is a first-type shoulder patch for the United States Army 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a unit made up exclusively of first-generation Americans born to Japanese immigrants. The patch is round and shows a golden forearm hoisting up a sword.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 2-1/2" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully-embroidered patch in red, white, blue and gold silk/cotton threads.
