This is a hardcover copy of "The Rise and Fall of Imperial Japan: 1894-1945" edited by S.L. Mayer. The book covers the explosive evolution of the Japanese nation as a world power after its civil war, specifically with emphasis upon the "Japanese War Machine", through Japan's defeat at the end of World War II. It has several color and black and white (some tinted with one color) photographs, as well as color illustrations. This copy comes with its original dust jacket and was published in 1984 by The Military Press of New York as a "Bison Book" and printed in Hong Kong.
255 pages; approximately 12" in height and 8-1/2" in width.
