ARTIFACT:

This is a lovely small .800 silver tray commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Cassa di Risparmio Delle Provincie Lombarde in 1973 by Bertoni in Italy. The center shows a raised, intricately detailed image of the building in the center and the reverse reads: "CASSA DI RISPARMIO DELLE PROVINCIE LOMBARDE 1823 1973". The reverse also shows a maker's mark, silver mark, and reads: "BERTONI".

Cassa di Risparmio delle Provincie Lombarde known as Cariplo SpA, was an Italian bank. On 2 January 1998 the bank merged with Banco Ambrosiano Veneto to form Banca Intesa.
