ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of "Cut and Thrust Weapons" by Eduard Wagner, with many beautiful and detailed illustrations, several in color. The volume covers the different types of cut and thrust weapons, as well as how to wield them and protect oneself during their use. This weaponry is further broken down into chapters on swords, rapiers and sabers in particular. After this, there are individual chapters on the weapons of Great Britain, Germany, France, Austria and Russia, along with a summary of all included plates at the beginning of each section. This copy was published in 1969 (2nd edition) in Prague, Czechoslovakia.

VINTAGE: Published 1969.

SIZE: 491 pages; approximately 13-1/4" in height and 9-1/4" in width and 2-1/2" in thickness.
