Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Vietnam era patch for the RF-4C Phantom aircraft. The RF-4C was developed by the US Air Force in 1962 after they borrowed its predecessor (the F-4) from the Navy. The patch is pentagonal and shows the aircraft silhouette in white with some rays and a turbo stream in gold against a black field.

VINTAGE:

Circa Vietnam era.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-3/4" height and 3-3/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester threads with a mesh backing.

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): The patch has very little wear.
