This is a 1960s Alaskan Air Command Family Service patch. The air command began in 1945 as a first line of defense against air attacks on Canada and the United States. The patch shows a star with one wing flying above a constellation of seven smaller stars.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-1/16" in height and 3" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The patch shows hardly any wear.
