Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1960s United States Air Forces Air Force Cross. The medal is the second-highest medal of distinction that can be awarded to an Air Forces member. The medal shows a wreathed eagle at center against a cross.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

3-1/2" height and 1-15/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass medal with green enamel and red, white and blue silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under swivel locking catch on brass bar.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

8+ (Excellent): Medal shows very little wear.
