This is a late 1960s pocket patch for the United States Army Company A 123rd Aviation Battalion, aka the Pelicans. The 123rd was activated on December 8, 1967, and one year later was attached to the 16th Combat Aviation Group, along with B and C companies.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/16" in height and 2-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
