Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1960s pocket patch for the United States Army 48th Assault Helicopter Company 2nd Flight Platoon. The 48th Aviation Company became the 48th AHC on January 1, 196The 48th AHC had three individual flight platoons at the ready, one of which was the "Wild Deuces". This patch was machine-made in Vietnam.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads, muslin backing.

None.

MARKINGS:

48 ASLT HELI CO 2nd FLT PLT handwritten on reverse.
