This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 16th Field Artillery Regiment by Denmark. The DI shows a black "dancetté fess" and three golden stars topped by a horse head. The DI reads MACTE NOVA VIRTUTE (blessings in each new valor).
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/16" in height 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:D22 (Denmark).
ITEM NOTES:The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LABX11/11
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only very light wear.
