Description
This is a cool old circa 1960s-1970s Special Police badge for the Crane Reservation at Crane Beach, Ipswich, Massachusetts. Crane Beach was gifted to Ipswich in 1945 by the son of wealthy Chicago businessman, Richard T. Crane. The beach is a refuge for the endangered piping plover. The badge is numbered 5 and has an enameled Seal of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s-1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 3" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, enamel, painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
