ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1958 United States Marine Corps HMR(L)-261 full-size lighter by Vulcan. Also known as the "Raging Bulls", the squadron flew H-34 Choctaws. The front of the lighter has an applied enameled bull insignia and the reverse is engraved HMR (L) 261 MAG (HR) (L) 26 1958 (MAG stands for Marine Aircraft Group).

VINTAGE: Circa 1958.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width and 1/2" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated brass, brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Hinge.

MARKINGS: VULCAN ¨ P.O. BOX 3252 SF CALIF. MADE IN JAPAN.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a 1950s US Marine Corps lighter collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCEV14 LAAEX3/14 SAAEX4/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The lighter has some minor abrasions mostly to the reverse.
