This is a 1958 French badge for the 1er Regiment d'Artillerie Coloniale (RAC). In 1958, the 1er Regiment d'Artillerie de Marine became the 1st RAC. The badge is by Drago and shows an anchor and cannon at the center of two swords topped with the Cross of Lorraine.
VINTAGE:Circa 1958.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with two round saddles.
MARKINGS:DRAGO PARIS NICE 3, RUE DE ROMAINVILLE.
