ARTIFACT: 1950's Sealtest Ice Cream Safe Driver hat badge. The badge features a nice star and scroll detail and beautiful red lacquer but is missing the numbered plaque, these were changed as the number of accident-free years of driving increased - a higher number for the driver to put on his hat badge would be given for each year of continued safe driving.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950's.

SIZE: 3-1/4" in width by 1-3/4 in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold plated brass with red enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Double screw posts.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large trucking collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEL99 LBJJX SLAGEX2/16

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): Minor wear and tarnishing, a crack in the enameling and is missing the numbered plaque.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
