ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950s Japanese-made squadron patch made for the United States Air Force's 71st Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, which flew both F-86 and F-102 aircraft. The patch is round with an extension off the top and shows a missile with a winged iron glove at center. The patch reads 71st FTR. IN. GP. SQ.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: 5-3/4" height and 4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered patch with multi-colored cotton threads.

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): Patch has two spots where the patch is slightly frayed and the overall color is somewhat compromised.
