1950s French Army Parachutist Pre-Military Brevet School Badge by Arthus Bertrand

This is a French Army parachutist pre-military (school) badge, or brevet Preparation Militaire Parachutiste‏, by Arthus Bertrand. The badge is a golden sword behind a parachute and nicely enameled blue, white and red rings. It reads HONNEUR ET PATRIE (Honor and country).

Circa 1950s.

Approximately 1-7/8" in height and 1-1/16" in width.

Plated and gilt brass, enamel.

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
