1950s Badge for Communist Poland SZMW (Socialist Military Youth Association)

This is a 1950s Communist Poland badge reading SZMW, for Socjalistyczny Zwiazek Mlodziezy Wojskowej (Socialist Military Youth Association). The badge is a sword enameled in red and white encircled by a wreath.

Circa 1950s.

1-1/4" height and 11/16" width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Single screw post with disc backing.

Maker's mark and MET on reverse of badge and MENNICA PANSTWOWA on backing.
