This is a 1950s-1960s patrolman badge from Providence, Rhode Island. The badge is on the short side with a cut-out area at the bottom over which the number 51 is affixed. The City seal is at the center of the badge beneath the motto: WHAT CHEER.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s-1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 2" height and 1-7/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated nickel with painted details.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows very little wear and has a shallow abrasion on its reverse.
