1950's - 1960's Bangor, Maine Police Badge

1950's - 1960's Bangor, Maine police badge. The center is raised and depicts the State Seal of Maine surrounded by a blue enamel ring that reads: "STATE OF MAINE". The top of the badge shows a five-point star in raised detail and the sides are embellished with wreath-like detail. The bottom of the badge reads: "BANGOR" against a background of blue enamel. The reverse shows marks from an old repair and the pin was possibly replaced during the period of use.

Approximately 2-1/2" x 2-1/16".

Riveted construction, chrome plated brass, enamel.

Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.

7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, the reverse shows marks from old repair work and pin was possibly replaced during period of use, much of the chrome plated and enameled details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
