ARTIFACT: This is a 1947-1948 gaggle patch for the United States Navy USS Valley Forge CVG-11, used during the Around the World Cruise. The patch reads ATTACK CARRIER GROUP ELEVEN and shows four insets representing squadrons VF-12A, VF-11A, VA-11A and VA-12A.

VINTAGE: Circa 1947-1948.

SIZE: 9" height and 4-7/8" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Canvas patch embroidered in multi-colored silk/cotton threads.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Patch shows moderate wear and discoloration.
