Description
This is a 1945 copy of the United States Army Air Forces booklet "Achtung Jabos! The Story of the IX TAC". "Achtung" is a word of German warning and "Jabos" is a shortened version of "Jger-Bomber" or "fighter-bomber". This booklet was published in Paris, France, and covers the history of the 9th Tactical Air Command through the end of 1944 (IX TAC had been redesignated from IX Air Support Command in April 1944). The cover and the center four pages of the book have color but otherwise the booklet contains some great black-and-white illustrations and photographs.
