ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1940s Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Skeet Club shooting vest patch from North Haven, Connecticut. Pratt & Whitney was started by two Connecticut engineers in 1860, and evolved into Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company in 1925. The patch shows an eagle with wings styled from a capital P and W.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/8 in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Cotton twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an aircraft company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RBV98 LDIX7/12

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch shows only light wear with a light crease in the twill.
