ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1940s Pittsfield, New Hampshire Fire Department retirement badge for Frank Tilton: he was with the Department for 37 years. Pittsfield is situated on the Suncook Rover in Merrimack County. The badge has enameled lettering and shows firefighting equipment at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin on bar with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: Patent number on bar.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old New Hampshire fire badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX14 LFJX6/14 sfjx04/04/25

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has only light wear.
