Description
1940's 1950's Koppers Corporation 15 Year Safety award in 10 karat gold. Koppers manufactures chemicals and materials in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the corporation in separated into three units: Carbon and Chemicals, Railroad Products and Services, and Performance Chemicals. Established in 1943, the company faced a hostile takeover in 1988 by British conglomerate Beazer, but was eventually purchased back by the local management in the early 2000's. The center of the pin reads: "KOPPERS" centered between two red triangles. Along the top in enameled detail it reads: "SAFETY AWARD" with the number "15" in the center. The outer edge of the pin features a nice wreath detail and the reverse reads: "10K".
