ARTIFACT:

This is a 1939 New Hampshire Jockey Club (NHJC) guest badge on a green and white cord. The NHJC was established in 1936 and assumed ownership of Rockingham Park, a harness racing track in Salem, New Hampshire. The diamond-shaped badge is enameled in green and white, and would have been presented for race access.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1939.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in height and 1" in width; cord about 8-1/2" in total length.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel, cord.

ATTACHMENT:

Suspension loop, cord.

MARKINGS:

None.
