This is a 1930s - World War II submarine model from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, which is located in both Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Kittery, Maine. This simple model has a brass periscope and numbers stamped on the bottom of its base.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s - World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 6-1/4" in length and ¾" in width (at base).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White metal, brass.
ATTACHMENT:Model screwed into base.
MARKINGS:P3 S4 on bottom of base.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX09 LFEX2/11 SFEX01/17
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The model has seen some moderate wear and the periscope is still intact.
