ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s patch for the United States Air Corps 16th Fighter Group, which was activated in the Panama Canal Zone in 1932. The patch shows a shield with three lightning bolts that reads PUGRAMUS COELUM (We Clear the skies).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's.

SIZE: About 5" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather with painted details.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): Very minor wear; slight cracking on the painted image; leather soft and supple.
