ARTIFACT:

This is a lapel pin for the National Association of State Aviation Officials, which was started in 1931, before the Civil Aeronautics Authority was launched. The pin is a petite wing showing a blue shield reading NASAO at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 3/16" in height and 3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with painted area.
ATTACHMENT:Singles screw post with disc backing and one stabilization post.
MARKINGS:THE GREENDUCK CO. CHICAGO.
