ARTIFACT: This is a great 1930s china dinner plate for the Capital City Club (CCC) of Atlanta, Georgia. Organized in 1883, the CCC was a prominent Southern club and gathering place for business professionals and even three Presidents of the United States. The plate shows the club's coat of arms at its center and reads CARPE DIEM (Seize the day). The plate is by Scammell China of Trenton, New Jersey.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 10-1/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: China.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: IVORY LAMBERTON CHINA SCAMMELL MADE IN AMERICA, "S" in crest maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a societies and organizations collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJX99 LGJX12/12

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The plate has some light to medium abrasions and areas of minor wear; no cracks or chips.
