1930s Capital City Club (Atlanta, Georgia) Dinner Plate by Scammell China

This is a great 1930s china dinner plate for the Capital City Club (CCC) of Atlanta, Georgia. Organized in 1883, the CCC was a prominent Southern club and gathering place for business professionals and even three Presidents of the United States. The plate shows the club's coat of arms at its center and reads CARPE DIEM (Seize the day). The plate is by Scammell China of Trenton, New Jersey.
