Description
This is a 1930s "tank" watch in 14 karat gold by Hamilton Watch Company, a Pennsylvania business founded in 189"Tank" refers to the rectangular shape of the watch, which resembles a tank from the air. Not to cause confusion, Cartier started the original "Tank" watch line in 1917.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Size 16: approximately 15/16" in width and 8-7/8" in length (total).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:14 karat gold, glass, lizard band, gold-plated brass hardware.
ATTACHMENT:Wristband with buckle.
MARKINGS:HAMILTON on face; 16 HIRSCH LIZARD WATER RESISTANT on strap; H and H+ (Hirsch) on buckle.
