Description
ARTIFACT: This is a 1930 United States Air Corps Pilot SOLO Bracelet from March Field in California. The body of the bracelet is 10K gold, at center is an applied M1919 Pilot wing in sterling silver. Above the wing is engraved: JAMES N. McCORMICK, and below is engraved: U. S. AIR CORPS.
On the back of the bracelet is engraved:

The date represents the McCormick's first Solo Flight as a Pilot in the US Air Corps.
The bracelet is not maker marked, but is clearly made by the Robbins Company of Attleboro Massachusetts.
VINTAGE: Circa 1930.
SIZE: Approximately 6-7/16" length and 3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
10K gold planchet; sterling silver chain and applied wing.
ATTACHMENT: Chain with double-forked locking bracelet clasp.
MARKINGS: 10K.
