Description
This is a 1930s United States Army Corps 27th Division 2nd Lieutenant pilot tunic. The tunic was made by Sol Frank Company and has bullion collar insignia and bullion gold (second lieutenant) bars, a wing and two DI for the division, as well as a fully embroidered patch on the shoulder.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:No size tag: approximate size 34.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Jacket: wool, twill/cotton lining, plated brass buttons, fully embroidered patch in cotton/silk threads, bullion on wool (bars and insignia); DIs: gold-plated brass with enamel; wing: silver-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Jacket: buttons; wing; horizontal pin with C catch; DIs: single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:MILITARY APPAREL SOL FRANK CO. SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS on label; 822672 written in sleeve lining.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The jacket is in nice condition with light overall wear and very slight staining to the upper left pocket; light tarnishing to bullion; light to medium wear on wing.
