This is a circa 1910s or 1920s El Paso, Texas Fire Department badge numbered 6It is a large badge with a small plate near the bottom that reads TEX. El Paso built a waterworks in 1882 and organized its first fire company that year: firemen served on a volunteer basis until several years later, in 190The badge is by C.D. Reese of New York City.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-11/16" in height and 1-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with tongue-style catch.
