ARTIFACT: This is a political ribbon from the second inauguration of President William McKinley. The ribbon reads: MILITARY ORGANIZATIONS SECOND INAUGURATION OF WILLIAM MCKINLEY 1901. McKinley unfortunately was assassinated six months after his second inauguration, in September 1901.

VINTAGE: Circa 1901.

SIZE: About 2" in width by 5-1/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk ribbon with gold painted letters and gold thread accent.

ATTACHMENT: Safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: S.N.MEYER, MFR.WASHINGTON,D.C.
