ARTIFACT:
This is a set of beautiful Arts and Crafts style candle sticks by O. & E.G. Royal Austria. O. & E.G. Royal Austria was the Bohemian brother team of Oscar and Edgar Gutherz, which produced both embellished and plain porcelain pieces. Each fine china candle stick has an early maker mark (used 1899-1918) on its underside. The pair was done in a unique luster glaze: a marbled hue that is a blend of rose and lilac.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1900.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-1/4" in diameter (at base) and 4-5/16" in height (each).
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Fine porcelain china.
