This is a circa 1890s stock deputy sheriff five-point star police badge that reads DEPUTY SHERIFF. Star is more delicate than most and has some scrolled details.

Circa 1890s.

2-1/8" height and 2-3/16" width.

Copper-plated brass with painted letters.

Horizontal safety-style pin.
