ARTIFACT:
This is a stunning example of a World War I United States Air Service pilot wing in sterling silver by Johnson. The wing is fantastically detailed and has starred and striped crest at center bearing the letters US. This wing has the 2nd type "arched" Johnson hallmark on the reverse.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War I.
SIZE:
Approximately 5/8" height and 2-13/16" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Sterling silver and plated sterling.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with Tiffany-style catch.
MARKINGS:
