SUBJECT:
This is a scarce 1920s veterans’ hat badge for the volunteer Franco-American Brigade. The badge reads BRIGADE DE VOLONTAIRES FRANCO-AMERICAINS DIEU, PATRIE ET LIBERTE (God, Country and Liberty). The pin shows the United States and French flags crossed and the cameos of two men at center.

Circa 1920s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-1/2” in diameter.

Gold-plated brass,
ATTACHMENT:
Single screw post with disc backing and one stabilization post.
