ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful early (1886) ribbon for the 9th Annual New Jersey State Fireman's Association Convention in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The purple ribbon has a great primitive horse drawn steamer graphic! The ribbon has a Newark, New Jersey manufacturer tag on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa 1886.

SIZE: Approximately 6-1/4" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk, gold tinsel thread, partial mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: None (safety pin attachment on reverse missing, easily replaced).

MARKINGS: D.J. BECHTEL, ENGRAVER, É 15 E. STATE ST., TRENTON, N.J. on paper tag

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEX12 LAHEX7/13 SAHEX12/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The ribbon has some light wear only.
