ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of "Firearms of the American West 1803-1865" by Louis A. Garvaglia and Charles G. Worman. This volume is a comprehensive history of the evolution of firearms production and trends on the United States frontier from the first year of the Lewis and Clark expedition through the end of the Civil War. Chapter topics include arms used by the military, civilians and Native Americans. The book has it original dust jacket and was published in 1984 by University of New Mexico Press, Albuquerque.

SIZE: 402 pages; approximately 12-1/4" in height and 9-1/4" in width and 1-1/4" in thickness.
